Leadership & Staff
The church is led by our five elders: Andy (our full-time pastor), Peter, Tony, Dave and Richard. The church is served by a team of deacons (Steve, Jonathan, Gareth, James and Nick) and supported by two other members of staff: Jill and Anthea (Ladies’ Workers).
Dr Andy Christofides took up the call to be our minister on 11 September 2000, succeeding the Rev. Russell Williams who had ministered between 1965 and 1998.
Born in 1957 near the famous footballing town of Burnley, Lancashire, Andy studied for his degree and doctorate in Chemistry at Cardiff University from 1975 to 1982. He was converted from atheism in the summer of 1976 during a summer vacation to Australia that changed his life forever.
Having worked in London as a Chemist from 1982, Andy returned to Cardiff in 1987 to work for Heath Evangelical Church as their International Student Worker, a Youth Leader and latterly as church evangelist.
Andy is married to Jill and together they have 4 children and 11 grandchildren.
