Prayer Meetings

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges of being a Christian, and being part of a regular prayer meeting is one of the greatest privileges a church can offer.

Praying together allows us to pray for one another, and to seek God together for the needs of the fellowship, our community and the whole world.

Midweek Prayer Meeting & Bible Study

The main prayer meeting of the church takes place on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Our prayer-time is preceded by a Bible study, which different men in the congregation bring to us. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet in smaller house groups, rather than in the church building. The venues vary, so check the notice sheet for up-to-date information.

Tuesday Morning Prayer Meeting

There are a significant number of our church members who, for varying reasons, cannot attend the main prayer meeting but still have a desire to meet together to pray. The meeting starts at 11:30am and follows on from the Coffee Morning, lasting approximately 45 mins. We start with a Bible reading and short reflection on the passage before turning to prayer.

Sunday Services

The weekly Sunday services are the focal point of our worship together as a church.

Morning Service - 10.30 am to 11.45 am

The morning service includes a short talk for children of primary school age.

After the service, there is a chance to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.

Sunday School follows the morning service in the upstairs hall at 12 noon. We celebrate Communion together at the end of the service on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Evening Service - 6 pm – 7:15 pm

Our evening services are a further opportunity for teaching and worship. After the evening service, light refreshments are provided, and communion is held on the 1st Sunday evening of each month.

What happens?

In each of our services we sing (a mix of hymns and modern songs), pray together, enjoy fellowship together, and hear the Bible read and preached. Twice a month we share Communion (the Lord’s Supper) together, and we hold baptismal services whenever one is needed.

Central to our Sunday worship is preaching from the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and it’s exciting to study the Bible each week to see what God is saying.

If you’d like to hear a flavour of our preaching before you come to the church, you can listen to our sermons online.

Children are welcome at all of our services, and we try and make sure all but the very young will be able to follow along. In the morning service, a crèche is provided for preschool children while those in school are helped by a dedicated worksheet based on the sermon.
