Children & Young People

Children & young people are a very important part of the church at St Mellons, and we have a number of groups just for them.

Crèche
We run a crèche during both our morning and evening services every Sunday, to encourage parents to bring their children to both services. In the morning the crèche is just for pre-school children, and sermon-based activity sheets are provided for older children who are staying in for the whole service. We understand that Sunday can be a tiring day for young children who have been to the morning service and Sunday School, so in the evening crèche extends to children in infants school too, if they wish to use it. All our crèche helpers are church members who have been DBS checked.

First Steps
For those with pre-school children, First Steps provides a welcome time to meet together. Parents have the opportunity to build on their friendships with each other and with those who come in from the local community, supporting each other and encouraging our children to form their first friendships together.
