Sunday Services

The weekly Sunday services are the focal point of our worship together as a church.

In each of our services we sing (a mix of hymns and modern songs), pray together, enjoy fellowship together, and hear the Bible read and preached. Twice a month we share Communion (the Lord’s Supper) together, and we hold baptismal services whenever one is needed.

Central to our Sunday worship is preaching from the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, and it’s exciting to study the Bible each week to see what God is saying.

We aim to teach the Bible in a way that is applied, Biblical and contemporary:

Applied
Because we don’t just want to understand the Bible with our minds – it needs to change our hearts.

Biblical
Because God’s Word is far more important than a man’s ideas.

Contemporary
Because although the Bible is an ancient book, it is God’s Word to us today.

If you’d like to hear a flavour of our preaching before you come to the church, you can listen to our sermons online.

Children are welcome at all of our services, and we try and make sure all but the very young will be able to follow along. In the morning service, a crèche is provided for preschool children while those in school are helped by a dedicated worksheet based on the sermon.

Morning (10:30am – 11:45am)
The morning service includes a short talk for children of primary school age. After the service, there is a chance to chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Sunday School follows the morning service in the upstairs hall at 12 noon. We celebrate Communion together at the end of the service on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Evening (6pm – 7:15pm)
Our evening services are a further opportunity for teaching and worship. After the evening service, light refreshments are provided, and communion is held on the 1st Sunday evening of each month.
