Missionaries
Whilst a huge amount of our focus is on making Christ known in St Mellons, the area within which God has placed us, we are thankful that the gospel is for the whole world.
Jesus himself commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.”
We therefore see it as our responsibility to support missionaries who are being obedient to this command in other parts of the world, some of whom are from our own local church.
We support them financially, but of even greater importance is our prayer support. Below are details of those that we support to aid you in praying for them:
Paula Harris
Paula grew up here in Cardiff, attending our Sunday School for many years, and joining the church when she became a Christian at the age of 19. Having served God with UFM in Brazil for 10 years, Paula has now returned to Cardiff to work with various groups of people, including the homeless. Please see Paula’s Page for more information about the work that she is involved with.
Becca Jones
Becca came to Cardiff to study medicine in 2003, making her spiritual home with us here in St Mellons Baptist Church. She is now serving God with UFM in Uganda. Please see Becca’s Page for more information about the work that she is involved with there.
Matt & Rosie Rees – St Briavels Congregational Church, Gloucestershire
Matt grew up in the church here in St Mellons and served as a deacon with us for a number of years. He is married to Rosie and they have two sons. Matt took up the call to become Pastor of St Briavels Congregational Church, Gloucestershire, in September 2013. You can follow what’s going on at St Briavels by visiting their website.
